rig for Mac

Let your AI agent see your site on every device.

rig opens your site in Chromium, Firefox, WebKit and real iOS Safari at once. Over MCP, your coding agent sees every one, then scrolls, clicks and measures to find what breaks. You watch it happen.

Alpha for Macs with Apple Silicon.

rig on a MacBook Pro with Claude Code in Terminal. The agent looks at sanderr.nl in Chromium and Firefox, a tablet and a small phone in WebKit, and iPhone 18 Pro in iOS Simulator, each marked with an orange ring.

AI agents

It looks before it fixes.

Ask why a page breaks on a small phone. Your agent takes a screenshot of every device, lines them up on the same element, reads the computed styles and checks what that browser supports. Then it fixes the code and looks again.

How agents work with rig ›
Claude Code's report in Terminal after looking at every device in rig: what looks off on the small phone, and what looks fine on the others.
  • Look

A screenshot of any device, or of the whole page in slices, with the scroll position.

  • Measure

The box and computed styles of an element, and which CSS that browser supports.

  • Read the console

Errors and warnings from every browser in rig.

  • Capture

A picture of every device, saved for a before and after.

  • Click, scroll and type

In your browsers, or scroll all of them to the same element at once.

  • Ask first

A new URL opens only after you approve it in rig.

Localhost to production

From your dev server to the live site.

rig opens whatever you're working on, from a dev server on localhost to production. Your agent can look, scroll and click on all of it, but it can't post a form or delete anything while it works. Every new URL waits for your approval.

rig asking whether Claude Code may open https://sanderr.nl/blog, with the buttons Don't Allow and Open, over the devices it shows.

Browsers

Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, side by side.

Add the screen sizes you test at and switch each engine on or off per size. Keep sets of devices as views: All, Mobile, Desktop, or your own.

rig's window: a sidebar with Desktop, Tablet and Small phone and an engine switch per size, and sanderr.nl in Chromium and Firefox at 1440 pixels.
  • Console

Errors and warnings from all your browsers, together in one panel.

  • Appearance

Dark mode, increased contrast and reduced motion on every device at once. On simulators, the real iOS settings.

  • Captures

⇧⌘S saves a picture of every device. Compare it with the last one using a slider.

iOS Simulator

Real Safari on iOS, next to your browsers.

rig boots the simulators you pick from Xcode, shows them live with real taps, swipes and the iOS keyboard, and shuts them down again when it quits.

  • iPhone on a cableComing

Plug in your own iPhone and see its real screen live next to everything else. Not in the alpha yet.

Questions

Is WebKit the same as Safari?

No. The WebKit tiles are the WebKit build that Playwright ships. For real Safari, rig uses iOS Simulator from Xcode.

Is a simulator the same as a real iPhone?

It runs real Safari on iOS, but on your Mac's chip and screen. Real iPhones on a cable are coming to rig.

Do I need Xcode?

Only for iOS Simulator. The browsers work without it: rig downloads them on first start.

Which Macs does the alpha run on?
